We believe that media is a tool and weapon that can be used in the fight to win people's hearts to Christ. For far too long a generation of media savvy individuals hasn’t been effectively taught about God’s love in the way that they understand it…through media. We want to influence today’s culture through evangelism that speaks the same language and is best suited to the needs of the gospel.

Artistic Director/President
The official line is: "Shane is responsible for charting the long-term artistic and ministry goals that will guide the company, project selection and development, and directorial duties in all major productions." However, those in the know understand that his days are spent with equal measures of daydreaming, YouTubing and trying to understand the budgets he habitually exceeds. Shane received a BFA in Acting from Southern Methodist University, which prepared him spectacularly for his first career as a waiter. In all honesty, his best ideas come from his brilliant wife, Jana. She’d take over his job if he didn’t keep her locked away and busy homeschooling their four kids, Anjel, Dakota, Caleb, and Micah.

Director of Marketing
Molly's official title is, "Director of Marketing" but she thinks it should be "Fun Supervisor." She is convinced that the world would be a much better place if people laugh a little more and have some fun! Thankfully, she gets to oversee sales and marketing, and is particularly passionate about creative ministry and encouraging people to see ministry in a whole new way. She has worked in several fields of communication, such as musical theater, advertising, marketing and media buying, which believe it or not all come in handy here at CHP! She comes to us from the mountains of NC and she is a proud graduate of Milligan College. She is currently working toward a Masters in Communication & Leadership at Gonzaga University which will be completed in '09. Molly is so blessed and grateful to be married to Zach, the love of her life and to be the mommy to a Goldendoodle puppy, Lily Belle.

Production Manager/
Post Production SupervisorCassie coordinates and oversees the details of each production as well as the post production process-the kind of nitty-gritty stuff that makes most people crazy, but she loves it. Cassie volunteered with Shane and his crew on the first City on a Hill production, "God is God," and signed on for good. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Television Production and Spanish from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She is crazy about her job and thrilled to be able to serve the Lord within this ministry. Above all other blessings, her greatest and most favorite is being married to her incredible (and oh so patient) husband, photographer Tyler Michael Pelan.

Development and
Marketing AssistantAmanda works as the marketing assistant here at City on a Hill. She has loved working for a ministry that seeks to bring the truth of the gospel into people's lives in a very tangible way and is intent to see people grow in their love for the gospel and God's word through focused discipleship and evangelism. She has degrees in Psychology and Spanish from Western Kentucky University and is less than one year away from finishing a Masters of Divinity in Theology from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary here in Louisville. Amanda has been happily married to her husband Ben for 2 and a half years.

Partnerships Director
Cibby arrived here at City this June, joining the other Texas "recruits." She brings to CHP years of experience in theatre, film and fundraising. Cibby worked on the set of Easter Experience as the first assistant director and then God showed her that was only the beginning of her "experience" with CHP! She joins us as Partnerships Director, simply put – "I get to get people excited about supporting the ministry here!" Joining Cibby is her family, Bob ("the builder") two teenage sons, Tyler and Zack and her two yellow labs Jackson and Shiloh.

Media Director
Kevin’s door plaque proclaims he's Director of Photography and Senior Editor, but that’s only because they couldn’t find one that said Director of Office Sarcasm. Kevin makes sure that the company's artistic and ministry vision is brought to life through the photography and post-production process. Trained primarily in the school of experience, Kevin also received instruction at the International Film and Video Workshop in Rockport, Maine. Kevin has spent 20 years in media production, and shot internationally in over 30 countries, which means he's dined on animals most people just admire at the zoo. Kevin’s wife, Marcy, is a published author and his personal trainer. They have one daughter, Meghan, who has the heart and soul of a gentle warrior, and share their home with Peanut the Nutty Kitty, and Liberty the Single Brain-celled Yellow Lab.

Executive Assistant
Kristy's job is to keep Kevin and Shane on a short leash, which is no small feat. Her love for ministry is rivaled only by her addiction to movies and television. She is excited to participate in the process of creating media that helps others come to know Jesus as the lover of their souls. Kristy joins us from Houston, Texas where she graduated from Houston Baptist University with majors in both Christianity and Psychology. She most recently worked as an administrative assistant for the Vice President of Sourcing at SYSCO Corporate.

Intern/Apprentice
Like most City on a Hill interns, Shepherd spends a lot of time in service to the slave-driving production team. All the same, he loves working at City on a Hill and learning every in and out of production he can. He also loves his incredible family of 15, who adopted 5 children from Liberia in the fall of 2006. He hopes to marry his beautiful love, Chelsea, and have a small (emphasis on small) family of his own. He enjoys playing guitar, mission work and reading or watching a good story. He thinks editing in Final Cut Pro rocks, and on the side has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. His dream is to someday direct films full-time that use the power of story to reach the minds and hearts of the audience.

Finance Manager
John is a 1974 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a B.S. in accounting and is a CPA. John handles the finances for City on a Hill. John is married to Debbie and together they have a blended family of three adult children and a granddaughter. John enjoys quality time with his family, walking, golfing, fishing and visiting Kentucky state parks.

Sound Dude
All my life I have had a love affair with all things audio. Some people; however, do not consider this a real job. On the other hand, I feel perfectly suited for playing with knobs and buttons all day long. Recently I went back to school to learn the fine art of audio post production. I love to make pretty pictures go BOOM! Can you believe there is actually a degree for this stuff? I am very excited about being able to share Christ with people by adding another dimension to the awesome work already being done by City On A Hill.
